The white temple was built in a formerly quiet town in the Chiang Rai province by Chalermchai Kositsisat who's devoted his life to it. The project will take another 95 years he reckons. Inside are some slightly controversial and not so impressive murals including a picture of the World Trade Centre in flames, Neo from the Matrix, Spider-man, Macdonald's etc. It definitely looks better from the outside.
